NOTE: My school no longer supports the Duolingo app, as it does not comply with COPPA regulations. However, you are still welcome to use it at home to extend your (and/or your child’s) language study.
Every year, I organize an online language-learning “Adult Class” for faculty and parents interested in studying a language on the Duolingo app. Third and fourth graders use the app to supplement their Spanish language study in my class, and it can be motivating for adults to work alongside students (and vice-versa).
Many adults have participated in the past, and you can choose any language you want to study. It is basically an independent study, except that you get to compete against other parents/ faculty, which can be a lot of fun! Below are resources and posts to keep you motivated on your language-learning journey!
